Brightase-C
Collagenase from Grimontia hollisae is recombinantly expressed in gram-positive bacteria Brevibacillus choshinensis. The enzyme is produced in an animal-component free environment. The endotoxin content is less than 10 EU/mg. Compared with collagenase from Clostridium histolyticum, Brightase-C cleaves some types of collagen, such as type VI collagen, much better. The enzyme can be used for pancreatic islet isolation and mesenchymal stem cell isolation.
